Winter International Tourists, rave about Sani Pass!

These spirited tourists from Idaho, Utah, and Arizona (above) embarked on a journey up the intrepid Sani Pass and into Lesotho! Sunny faces and exclamations of appreciation bubbled in the group as they recalled their unique Autumn day-trip experience.

They loved their visit to the Basotho village where they entered the chief’s traditional stone hut for an immersive experience from our talented tour guides. The village chief was delighted to have almost her entire range of handmade Basotho curios snapped up and bought by our American guests. This is a wonderful gesture which will be appreciated by the village during the cold and quieter months ahead.

With laughter in their hearts and a shared sense of camaraderie, they will be continuing their travels in South Africa, before returning to the US of A..

Can you spot (above) the Basotho grass hat being worn by one of our many Dutch guests for the day? It’s quite indicative of their sense of fun that they shared together. No flat country-side for these folk, but rather the very imposing “Dragon Mountains’ – the Southern Drakensberg mountains.

Our spacious 4×4 Toyota Landcruiser accommodated these Dutch, English and Scottish tourists for the day, after which they raved about the service they received from our seasoned and talented tour guide – Elias,
calling out “ten out of ten!”, “ten out of ten!”.
It’s always a thrill for us to hear such positive feedback from our guests, who will travel back to their faraway homes, and regale their stories of the experiences in South Africa.
