Charlie and Gardi Major of Major Adventures were thrilled to reconnect with good friends and pioneers of Sani Pass. Dudley Blevins started with Mokhotlong Mountain Transport MMT / Giants Cup Motors as an apprentice in 1974. Then did his army service and later returned.

1976 Dudley went to Durban to finalise his apprenticeship with Mercedes Benz Trucks, later returning to MMT where he qualified mid 1977 – staying in the district for a few years.

What a beautiful day to stop for a photo shoot

An opportunity to take photos on the way up Sani Pass

Around 1980 Dudley moved to Kokstad for 6 months – after which he returned to MMT, finally leaving in 1982. His bosses over time were legendary stalwarts – Mike Clark, John Webb and Mike Gage. This was also the time of the famous “Four-Feet” Ndlovo.

Aside from working on MMT trucks and Lesotho clients trucks, he did a lot of recovery of accidents on the Sani Pass and inland in Lesotho.

It was during Dudley’s time that MMT was delivering food into Lesotho for the United Nations.
